Automotive Finishes
How Refinishing Your Car Has Changed
In the 60's it was lacquer, in the 70's acrylic enamel, in the 80's the early
urethanes, in the 90's better ultaviolet screeners & gloss intensifiers
were added. Now we are seeing a lot more 3 stage finishes that we must tint,
basecoat, & midcoat and then finish with an isocate actified clearcoat.
These finishes require a factory type paint booth for best results.
Our paint booths pull outside air through two sets of filters removing dust as
small as 14 microns. The clean air is then heated to 74 degrees --- The ideal
spraying temp. It is then twice filtered before being returned to the
atmosphere.
After spraying, the booth is programmed to the correct baking cycle for the
type & color of paint being used, returning your cat to you with a
factory-type baked finish
